Process and prices
Whether it's a regular maintenance appointment or returning your horse to functional recovery and full unrestricted work, whether your horse is retired, on box-rest, or in full competition work, you can be assured of 100% dedication and commitment on providing the best service for you and your horse. Initial Process and Appointment We will discuss your horse with you and take relevant information. We then make direct contact with your Vet to request consent for us to treat your horse prior to our appointment with you. (This is a legal requirement as part of the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 and applies to ANY paraprofessional treating your horse). The initial appointment will take between 1 and 1.5 hours and will observe and identify the key areas and focus for treatment. It is important that we target the root of the problem, else we will be just treating the symptoms again and again! We will observe your horse being trotted up, and if possible, on the lunge and ridden. Static assessment and joint mobility will also be observed. The treatment will then commence, either in the stable, or if the horse is more comfortable in doing do, on a flat surface in the yard. A plan will then be made for ongoing care by the owner and recommendations on future treatments. Follow-up Treatments A follow-up appointment lasts approximately 1hr, whereby the horse is reviewed and then treated. |
